Building something of your own
You might be considering entrepreneurship, building something alongside your current job, or already pursuing self-employment full-time. Perhaps you’re running an established business and looking to grow, make it more sustainable, or take it in a new direction.
Building something of your own can be exciting. You get to decide what to build, how to work, and what success looks like. At the same time, that freedom brings new challenges. You might struggle to set priorities, manage your time, or maintain momentum without the structure and support of a traditional workplace. You may be facing difficult business decisions about what to focus on or how to move forward, while also navigating uncertainty, frustration, self-doubt, or changes in how you see yourself professionally.
Maybe that’s what got you interested in coaching: you want someone to think things through with, challenge your assumptions, and help you make progress towards what matters to you.
How can coaching support you as you build your business?
Every entrepreneurial journey is different, and our coaching sessions will be tailored to your individual goals and circumstances. Some of the topics my clients on this path often explore include:
Setting goals and planning your next steps. Clarify what you want to achieve, identify your priorities, and decide on the next steps to get there.
Making important decisions with greater confidence. Explore your options, challenge assumptions, and evaluate trade-offs to make well-considered decisions, even when outcomes are uncertain.
Building and maintaining momentum. Turn ideas into action, work through obstacles, and find ways to regain momentum when things don’t go as planned.
Finding ways of working that suit you. Develop approaches to managing your time, setting priorities, and creating routines that support your productivity and well-being.
Navigating the personal side of entrepreneurship. Explore how to manage uncertainty, self-doubt, and the pressure of working independently, while adjusting to changes in your professional identity and relationship with work.
Coaching also offers a regular opportunity to reflect on your progress, work through challenges, and adjust your approach as your work and circumstances evolve. We can build on these conversations as you experiment with new approaches, learn from your experiences, and decide what to do next.
Explore coaching with me
My background spans strategy, operations, and business growth, and I have firsthand experience of transitioning to entrepreneurship. I’ve also completed an ICF-accredited coach education program and coached clients at different stages of their entrepreneurial journeys, supporting them in navigating challenges and working towards their goals.
You can bring both business decisions and personal questions to our coaching sessions. My role isn’t to tell you how to run your business, but to act as your thinking partner and provide a space where you can explore your options, challenge assumptions, and find your own way forward.
If you’re considering coaching, let’s have a conversation about what you’re working towards, the challenges you’re navigating, and how coaching might support you. We can also explore whether working together would be a good fit.
